Moonlight Walk

Light up the night at the 2023 Glitter and Glow Moonlight Walk for St. Michael’s Hospice on Saturday 30 September. Bring some sparkle to Basingstoke and put on your brightest outfit and glitter and glow in the dark accessories to make the town glow in memory and celebration of those special to you!

Join us at Festival Place to enjoy the music and atmosphere, get your face painted, and take part in the team warm up before leaving at 9pm. The 10k walk will take on a route around Basingstoke and finish back at Festival Place where you will collect your well-deserved medal, enjoy some refreshments and celebrate completing the walk!

Adult aged 18 and over – £22

Child aged 11 – 17 – £14

Child aged 10 and under – free

What you get:

• The chance to walk with hundreds of local people through the moonlit streets of Basingstoke and access to the event fun at the start and finish line
• Fully marshalled and signed 10k route around Basingstoke, the marshals will be there to support, encourage and guide you along the way
• Support and encouragement from the team from sign up to completion including your own online fundraising page and walker information pack with fundraising tips
• Link to our Spotify playlist to enjoy and sing along to with the other walkers on the route
• Walker number to wear and display on the night
• Sweets and treats along the route and at the finish line

• A glass of non-alcoholic fizz to welcome you back!
• Glitter and face painting available to purchase on the night

Sponsorship

Your entry fee goes towards putting on the event and includes all the above. We ask that you support us by pledging to raise just £50 in sponsorship, by raising this amount, you’ll help us achieve our target which will make a huge difference to the patients and families we help every day. For those that reach £50, you will receive a free re usable glowstick which you can collect and use on the night!

The Moonlight Walk is one of the highlights of our event fundraising calendar.  Over the years, The Moonlight Walk events have raised nearly £500,000 to make sure St. Michael’s Hospice can continue to provide specialist care and support to North Hampshire. The last few years have been difficult for us all but YOU our wonderful community have supported us and enabled us to continue to provide care for our patients and families. Thank you!
