Summer Memories 2025
Let’s come together to celebrate the memories of our loved ones by supporting this year’s Summer Memories Appeal and joining our celebration event on Sunday 13 July.
Choosing to remember and honour your loved one as part of our Summer Memories Appeal is a beautiful way to pay tribute and celebrate their life. Your support also helps us continue caring for patients and their families this summer, offering them comfort and reassurance at what can be one of the darkest times in their lives.

Summer Memories is a beautiful way you can pay tribute to your loved one and celebrate their life. By donating to our appeal, your dedication will be included in our Order of Service, which you can keep as a memento after the event.
Please note, dedications must be submitted by 12PM, Monday 30 June, in order to be included in our Order of Service.
With a gift of £30 or more, you’ll have the opportunity to receive one of our limited-edition metal butterfly garden decorations. These will form a stunning ‘Summer Memories Meadow’ display during the event. This year, we have chosen the butterfly as our theme, a powerful symbol of love, hope, and lasting presence. We believe it beautifully describes the spirit of our event and the memories of those we’ll be honouring.
“This summer, let’s take a moment to cherish the memories we shared with our loved ones and support our local hospice to provide vital care to those who need it most. Regardless of whether your loved one received support from St. Michael’s Hospice or not, I invite you to use Summer Memories as an occasion to come together with family and friends to celebrate their life and honour their memory.” – Laura, daughter of Paul. Paul was cared for by us after he was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer. You can read Paul’s story here.
In 2024, we supported more than 800 people like Paul and his family. Our services are free of charge, but with only 16% NHS funding, we rely on the generosity of kind-hearted people like you to raise the additional £15,000 per day needed to continue our care. As demand for our services increases, so do our costs. By donating a gift this year and dedicating a butterfly to a loved one, you can ensure that patients and their families can receive hospice care when they need it most, whether at home, in our Living Well Centre or in the Hospice.
