Our dedicated team of nurses, doctors, and therapists deliver free, high quality, compassionate end-of-life care and support to patients, their families and carers.

We only receive 22% of our funding from the NHS, the rest is raised thanks to the generosity and kindness of our community. Take a look at how you can support us too.

Grief is a journey, nobody should walk alone.

Will you help to ensure our bereavement team is there to support people through life after loss?

Our support doesn't end when someone dies. Our Family Support team helps to guide loved ones through the complicated and deeply personal journey of grief.

Care in the Hospice

Our In-Patient Unit provides the best possible care for patients living with life-limiting illness. Your end-of-life care and support matters to us and we’re here for you every step of the way.

Our Hospice at Home team offer specialised management of symptoms and end of life support to patients and their families within a patient’s home. Offering choice when it matters.

Bereavement services

The death of someone significant can be one of the most challenging and painful life experiences we face. Grief is often described as a roller coaster of emotions and it can be hard to make sense of our feelings and reactions and see a way forward after a loss.

St. Michael’s became a comforting place for our family – a home-from-home. Our girls were able to see that the Hospice was a warm and caring place, a place that helped their dad feel better and that just because he went into the Hospice, didn’t mean he was not going to come back out.
